Tibet-A Fight For National Freedom

Image:rtycmn

The following statement was composed by a Tibetan who like many in the exiled Tibetan community are frustrated by their government’s policy of appeasement towards Communist China and are calling for a more determined and united campaign to regain Tibetan independence:

“We are a people blessed with love for our country and devotion to our faith.

Let us now come out from the shadows and fight for what is ours.

We fight for our land.

We fight for our people in Tibet.

We fight for our faith.

We fight for our dignity.

We fight to the memory of the freedom fighters.

We fight for our children.

We fight so that our beloved Kundun would not have to beg the Westerners and India no-more.

We fight because we are the children of the brave freedom fighters.

And with all my respect for Kundun, it is time we close the chapter to the “middle-path” and follow in the footsteps of our brave freedom fighters of the past. It is time, we stop begging for crumbs, it is time we stand up as a nation. The time has come……so brothers and sisters lets join the TYC as a people from all provinces and all sect to fight as ONE and at all cost for ONE purpose…. A FREE TIBET. Do not allow history to judge us as a generation that lived in apathy and cowardice. Our nation’s past is of a people that were proud, devoted and brave, we are a people that gave birth to Songsten Gonpo and Andrug Gonpo Tashi.

THE INDEPENDENCE OF TIBET IS NOT NEGOTIABLE”
