Thoroughly distressing as this image is we make no apology for featuring it because the world needs to be aware of the struggle being waged inside occupied Tibet and the immense sacrifices of Tibetans, some of whom such as this Tibetan are offering their lives to demand Tibet’s independence and calling for a return to their sorely oppressed land, the return of the Dalai Lama. The latest self-immolation is reported to have taken place earlier today in Rebkong, eastern Tibet’s Amdo region. More details once available.
