Around 130 Rangzen yellow clad warriors, carrying the Stars and Stripes and the Snow Lion flag of Tibet, marched through Squirrel Hill and Oakland, with one message, Free Tibet!
Tibetan exiles, now based in New York, Philadelphia, Boston and Minnesota, said they want to tell world leaders, gathering for today’s G-20 event, that human rights should come before free trade.
Leader Ngawang Tashi said the marchers oppose Chinese occupation of Tibet and called for the release of Tibetan prisoners and want to know the whereabouts of the Panchen Lama, second highest religious leader after the exiled Dalai Lama.
