News broke today of a Tibetan who self-immolated in protest at China’s violent and illegal occupation of Tibet, the incident happened around 5pm local Tibetan time. The man has been identified as Tashi Rabten aged 30 who engulfed himself in flames at Machu, within Amdo region of occupied Tibet.
