Tibetan Self-Immolates In Kham Region Of Occupied Tibet

The exiled Tibetan Administration has reported that a 24-year old Tibetan man, named as Pema Gyaltsen  self-immolated at around 4pm local Tibetan time, on March 18, 2017, near Tsoga monastery in Nyarong, Kham, eastern Tibet.

According to the report: ‘The police reportedly arrived at the scene and immediately took away his charred body. A minute-long video has emerged out of Nyarong today, which shows a huge police presence at the self-immolation site. There is no further information on Pema Gyaltsen and his current condition remains unknown.’
